Reading books is a cherished activity, as it takes the readers on exciting adventures and into a whole new world. And with the aim of uniting global literary enthusiasts, the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival is coming to the emirate this May. As it happens, it’s all set to once again captivate the audiences with its guests delivering inspirational talks and invaluable workshops.

Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival To Happen In May

Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival is all set to take place between May 1 and 12. Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority, this will be taking place at Expo Centre Sharjah. As such, this will be the region’s largest event, which will be dedicated to nurturing the imaginations of young minds. In fact, in a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that this year the theme is ‘Once Upon A Hero’!

190 Guests From 25 Countries Will Be Present

It is expected that 190 guests from 25 countries will be arriving at the festival to represent the universal appeal of literature. As it happens, this year, the impressive lineup includes accomplished individuals that will promise an enriching experience. As such, Jerry Craft, who is a distinguished American cartoonist and children’s book illustrator will be present at the event as well. For those who aren’t aware, Craft is the one behind the comic strip Mama’s Boyz and graphic novels like New Kid.

There Will Be Several Guests Who Will Be Present Here

In fact, Dr. Caroline Leaf, a world-famous communication pathologist and neuroscientist from the USA and Stacy C. Bauer from Malaysia will also be present at this festival. Notable guests from India, such as Mamta Nainy and Bethany Clark will also be presenting their unique perspectives on children’s literature. In fact, more than 1,400 cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities will also be taking place at the fiesta. In fact, 470 publishers from 75 countries will be participating in the 15th edition of this upcoming event.

So, with such an impressive lineup and hold of exciting things, this event is certainly something everyone who loves reading, must attend.
