Abu Dhabi Rolls Out On-Demand Bus Service From 6am To 11pm

Integrated Transport Centre of Abu Dhabi’s announced the inauguration of the “Abu Dhabi Link” on-demand bus service on Saadiyat Island. ITC has announced that the Abu Dhabi Link would be free for the first phase. It will run between 6:00 am-23:00 pm daily. This is a measure that strengthens the notion of sustainable transport. It ensures that customers have a safe and enjoyable first- and last-mile experience.

What Will Be The Route Of Abu Dhabi Link?

Hidd Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat’s hotel areas, Beach Residences, Beach Club, Beach Golf Club, Beach Villas, Cultural District are some stops. Similarly, Jumeirah Resort Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum and Mamsha Al Saadiyat will enjoy the service.
Residents and tourists to Abu Dhabi will be able to travel smoothly. They can travel between the many residential zones and centres of interest on Saadiyat Island.

The notion of the “On-Demand Bus Service” is to supply a bus only when people of the community request one. It’s either to travel inside the community or to transfer to other bus routes at the town’s transit hub. We might also observe a significant change in the frequency of buses. It will also bring down the waiting period of bus users.

How To Access The Service?

Passengers must first download the “Abu Dhabi Link” app, which is accessible on the Apple Store and Google Play. The user will next select a pick-up time and designate his or her pick-up and drop-off locations. The programme will offer the user information about the bus. Like licence plate number, and the ability to follow the vehicle’s location in real-time.

The ITC’s Abu Dhabi Link service has increased the variety of the public bus network. It has supported the ITC’s efforts to increase public bus service outreach to community members.
