As you may be aware, India is the host country for the G20 summit. Many delegate countries are visiting India as a result of it. There are also a number of festivals, functions and events that are hosted in honour of the summit. This time, a beautiful flower festival is being held at Central Park at Connaught Place in Delhi. This flower festival is a great event for horticulture enthusiasts and it is free for the general public.

G20 Flower Festival: A Vibrant Display Of Horticulture

The festival will be a brilliant display of flowers of all kinds. It is being organised by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and it is happening on the 11th and the 12th of March. The telos behind this festival is to showcase the vibrant flora native to the countries participating in the G20 summit.

There will be a host of floral installations. Different countries can showcase their own national floral diversity via the stalls which will be provided by the NDMC. Furthermore, there will also be art and paintings of flowers from different countries.

The NDMC will be representing India’s stall which will showcase the floral diversity of India. A large variety of seasonal and non-seasonal flowers will be displayed at the event. The two-day event will begin at 10 AM in the morning and end at 7 PM in the evening.

The festival will also feature various musical and cultural programmes in the amphitheatre inside Central Park. Apart from the delegate countries of G20, this event will also witness participation from other civic and government bodies like PWD, CPWD, Jal Board, etc.

In addition to floral baskets, hanging flowers, flower sculptures and figures, the festival will also feature Dahlias, Bougainvillea, foliage plants, Bonsai, Succulents, Cacti, etc. A Tray garden and different kinds of floral arrangements will also be a part of this event.

Attendees can also buy a plethora of plants from the host of flower stalls that will be at the event.
