Chef Manish Mehrotra Bids Adieu To Indian Accent, Comorin; Says, “One Needs To Explore New Frontiers”

The sheer ingenious of marrying the pungency of wasabi to the subtleness of raita; the audacity to add blue cheese to naan; and the creativity to serve Daulat ki Chaat— a winter speciality— throughout the year at Indian Accent can only be attributed to its Culinary Director— Chef Manish Mehrotra. Having created a phenomenal legacy in the Indian hospitality industry (15 years of Indian Accent and 9 years of Comorin) Chef Manish Mehrotra announced his departure from Indian Accent and Comorin to explore new frontiers.

A Promise To Return Soon With Something New

Indian Accent was voted #1 on NDTV’s list of ‘Best Restaurants for 2024’ and featured on “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2024” list. Pioneering innovative Indian cuisine, Indian Accent cooked up a storm in Delhi with its tasting menus and later expanded its footprint to New York and Mumbai.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Accent’s exclusive pop-up at Zarf, Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru. From Kanyakumari Crab to Murg Malai topped with fresh truffle— the pop-up helmed by Chef Rijul Gulati was a sublime degustation of Indian Accent’s signatures.
