As Holi, the Festival of Colours, approaches, the streets in India are filled with laughter and gulaal. But in Vrindavan, Holi takes on an ethereal form with Phoolon Ki Holi, the Holi of Flowers. This divine festival offers an experience of spirituality, nature, and tradition.

According to legend, Radha was upset with Krishna for not visiting her for a long time. When he finally arrived, he attempted to tease Radha by playfully tossing a flower at her. Radha, never one to back down, returned the gesture, and soon, the Gopis joined in, showering flowers on one another. And so, this tradition was born. It reflects the bond between Krishna and Radha, using the purest and fragrant flowers

This divine celebration takes place in Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari Temple. The temple is decorated with floral decorations and thousands of devotees gather here. At a specific time, the temple priests shower the devotees with petals of marigolds, roses, jasmine, and lotus. The scent of fresh blooms creates an otherworldly experience as people joyfully play Holi by tossing flowers at one another. Phoolon Ki Holi is an eco-friendly festival that also celebrates nature.
