In this episode of Stories From Bharat, we sat down, stood up, and struck several poses with the legendary Baba Ramdev. We spoke about his ₹100000-crore brand Patanjali which he built from scratch how he managed to accomplish such a feat. We had delightful conversations, calming meditation sessions and wholesome food. Baba Ramdev also told us about the time that he headed a camp in the Bandra-Kurla Complex or BKC 20 years ago where he met the glitterati of Mumbai.

Baba Ramdev Met Bollywood Celebs In A Camp At BKC 20 Years Ago

We were quite enamoured and humbled by the institute that Baba Ramdev had managed to build over the years. Not only is he an ardent advocate of Yoga and its benefits, but his work is said to have benefitted a number of people as well.

The brand Patanjali has had quite a journey and leading it at the forefront was Baba Ramdev. We were curious to know when was the first time that he visited the financial capital of India, Mumbai. What we learned was really quite fascinating.

Baba Ramdev revealed that he held a camp at BKC around 20 years ago. The camp consisted of a whopping 20 lakh people and it was here that he met the glitterati of Mumbai for the very first time. He revealed that he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty and even Sanjay Dutt!

Babaji Struggled To Recall Sanjay Dutt’s Name And It Was Funny!

We had a funny moment with Baba Ramdev. He was trying to recall Sanjay Dutt’s name but was struggling. He remembered that he had a baba-adjacent nickname (Sanju baba) so he asked us “Who is that baba?”

We were quite confused for a bit because what other Baba could THE Baba be referring to? He suddenly remembered his name and we laughed about the incident together!
