And it will be a tribute to the historic heroes of India. Mount Rushmore is located in South Dakota’s Black Hills Region in the US and it has sculptures of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt and Thomas Jefferson carved out of the mountain. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation is now mulling over creating India’s own version of Mount Rushmore with the prominent heroes of the country.

The Site Will Also Offer Recreational Activities
According to a report by The Indian Express, the road development corporation has floated a tender for making a detailed plan of the striking project. The authority is working on finalising the location too. Also, not only will the location be a memorial for the Indian heroes, but it will also offer a plethora of recreational activities in the form of cultural tourism, adventure activities, ecotourism and more. The site also aims to promote the rich tradition and culture of the state.
