Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, popularly called, India’s Expressway Man is a massive foodie. And we have delicious proof! In an interview with Editor-in-Chief of Curly Tales, Kamiya Jani, Nitin Gadkari revealed he could polish six samosas at a time. Moreover, he revealed some of his favourite dishes. On the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, Kamiya Jani relished a wholesome Maharashtrian meal and some Chinese dishes with Mr Nitin Gadkari. During the interview, India’s Expressway Man shared his love and passion for food. Delving deep into recipes, his food memories, his love for food is not a hidden affair. Hailing from Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari explained how he prepares Nagpur’s famous orange barfi. A powder is made from orange juice which is then mixed with khoya to prepare the barfi.

He goes on to reveal that he relishes mushroom soup and even orange soup from produce grown in his house garden. The Maharashtrian loves his vadas. Excitedly, he narrates the recipe for the same. Boil the potatoes, mash them, add ginger paste and garlic paste, says the Minister in the Sunday Brunch teaser video. He even cites a recent example as proof of his ardent love for Mahashtrian delicacy, vada. During his recent visit to Pune, he demolished three large vadas.

Nitin Gadkari also revealed that he used to eat a lot earlier. He could polish six samosas in one go. The Minister remembered downing dosa, pulao, pizza and one large kesar milkshake for a meal. Just before his bariatric surgery, he relished five to six plates of pakodas with tamarind chutney.

The road transport and highways minister stated during an ‘Agenda Aaj Tak’ event that the first thing that comes to his mind after 7 pm is what to eat and where to eat.
