Taj Mahal is often touted as the ultimate symbol of love. The most romantic monument on earth, built by a husband for his wife. 72-year-old Vojin Kusic of Bosnia, built a rotating house for his wife so she can see the world. In its own way this tiny hoe from Bosnia is a symbol of love. The house rotates a full circle so, the man’s wife, Ljubica can enjoy different views out of her window. 72-Year-Old Vojin Kusic Built A Rotating House For His Wife

Vojin Kusic wanted to please his wife who yearned for a better view from their family home. The Bosnian man built the entire home on his own. The self-taught innovator took 6 years to build the world’s first rotating house, that’s more resistant to earthquake damages than stationary houses. The 72-year-old man revealed to Reuters that he got tired of his wife’s complaints and frequent revamping of their family home. So, he told her that he’ll build a rotating house so she can spin it the way she wishes.

The House Spins Around  On 7m Axis & Offers Diverse Views

Nestled near the town of Srbac in northern Bosnia, this house spins around a 7-metre axis. Vojin Kusic built it on a fertile plain that offers a view of cornfields and farmland on one side, forests on another and a river when rotated at the desired speed. He was inspired by American inventors Mihajlo Pupin and Nikola Tesla. The Bosnian man comes from a poor family with a lack of proper education, he always looked for ways to make things by himself. He stated to Reuters that the house can make a full circle for 24 hours at its slowest speed. And at its faster, it can rotate a full circle in just 22 seconds.

Despite 6 Long Years & A Heart Condition, He Built A Rotating House From Scratch

Vojin Kusic took 6 years to research, design and build this home by himself. The project took a little longer to complete as he was hospitalised for his heart condition. The devoted husband asked doctors to try to prolong his life for at least one year as he had this project in hand. And no one knows how to complete it. A rotating house built by an ailing husband for his wife is no less than a Taj Mahal. His wife can now enjoy the view of the rising sun in one moment, passers-by in the next and a gushing river in the third.  Well, love has another name, and that’s a rotating house in Bosnia.
