This city is attracting a massive crowd recently and tourists in large numbers are travelling there to witness Neelakurinji flowers covering the hills of Chikkamagaluru. The flower beds of hues of blue and purple are an absolute sight to behold. These rare flowers get their name from the Nilgiri Hills. The meaning of Nilgiri is blue mountains.

BJP minister Shobha Karandlaje also uploaded a video of these flowers on Twitter and asked everyone to visit Chikkamagaluru ‘for a spellbinding experience’.
