Food delivery apps are no longer luxury apps, they are the new essentials. Whether it’s a lazy evening, an ice cream craving or a house party, ordering food at home is the new normal. While Swiggy and Zomato have enjoyed a monopoly for a long, there’s a new food delivery app, backed by none other than Anna Suniel Shetty that is going to give them tough competition. Suniel Shetty Introduces Foodies To His New Food Delivery App, WAAYU

Anna Suniel Shetty who has time and again impressed audiences with his action-packed performances in Indian films is now here to tantalise the taste buds of foodies. Suniel Shetty recently launched the food delivery app, WAAYU. Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Zomato and Swiggy now have tough competition. WAAYU is a food delivery platform that has a no-commission system in place.

So, restaurants don’t have to pay high commissions or any commissions for that matter to the app. This startup is founded by Anirudha Kotgire and Mandar Lande at the end of 2022. It is backed by Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) in Mumbai and actor Suniel Shetty. With a collaboration with AHAR, WAAYU saves a lot of money in acquiring new customers. These savings will later be passed on to customers to boost retention rates.

These Mumbai Restaurants Are Part Of The App

Currently, WAAYU has launched its services in Mumbai. You can get food delivered from popular restaurants in Mumbai like Kirti Mahal, Mahesh Lunch Home, Guru Kripa, Banana Leaf, Ladu Samrat, Persian Darbar and Shiv Sagar. The food delivery app is also onboarding restaurants parts of Mumbai like Thane, Navi Mumbai, Mira Bhayander, BMC and later in Pune and Palghar. After this, you can expect the app to enter many other metro and non-metro cities.

WAAYU has Suniel Shetty both as an investor and brand ambassador. Currently, restaurants need to pay just ₹1000 per month to stay on the app. This rate shall later increase to ₹2000. Also, WAAYU is planning to integrate with ONDC.
