We all have heard of Jim Corbett National park and some of us might have been there too. But this monsoon if you really want to explore nature and wildlife, visit Doars. North-east India around Bhutan is home to the Dooars or Duars, foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. Several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries are located in the area, attracting tourists from across the country and around the world. 

Doars: Nature’s True Paradise

Doars is known as Nature’s paradise for it is home to Buxa Tiger Reserve, Neora Valley Elephant Safari, Gorumara National Park, Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. The place is also quite known for its jungle safari, jeep safari and elephant safari. The blessed region of Doars with its emerald green forest cover is also home to many endangered species like tigers, rhinos and elephants along with deers and reptiles. The place also has beautiful rivers like Murti and Jayanti and also a fort named Buxa.

Experience The Rich Bio-Diversity

The place has forest reserves which are so rich in bio-diversity and are so serene making them a must-visit. You can choose which National Park or Sanctuary you wish to visit while each one of them has its own speciality. For eg., Gorumara National Park is famous for spotting one-horned rhinos and you can go on Elephant Safari. At Jaldpara Wildlife sanctuary you can get a view of the surrounding jungle on an elephant safari. You can enjoy the rich flora and fauna of the Doar region at Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary.
