His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has also given his nod for the new policy. The e-book is launched with a motive to reduce traffic in customer care centers up to 80% by 2021.

The Electronic book will be directly linked to the Emirates ID and will come into effect from 1 July onwards. All data will then be stored in a smart chip of the ID card, thereby reducing fraudulent transactions.

A series of workshops will be conducted prior to the launching of the Electronic Book.
