Countries, like India, are now into their fifth month of lockdown, with only selective places opening up as the pandemic rages on. Now, Wuhan, the place where it all started has received backlash from several netizens. The reason? Thousands were reportedly seen partying there without masks or social distancing. All this, even as India struggles to keep a count of its death toll.

People Spotted Partying In Wuhan Without Masks

Pictures of people in Wuhan partying hard recently surfaced on the internet, leaving netizens outraged. These are reportedly from the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park. Apparently, there was a DJ session in the pool party, and people are seen enjoying themselves. They’re playing pool games and partying hard without masks or social distancing. Meanwhile, authorities all over the world are working day in and day out to fight the deadly coronavirus. Some are struggling to keep up with rising death tolls, like India, in spite of  stringent measures and strict fines in place.

Pool Park Apparently Offers Entry To Female Visitors At Discounted Rates

The lockdown in Wuhan, the epicentre of coronavirus, ended in April and people were allowed to selectively move. As per several reports, Wuhan has reported zero domestically-transmitted Covid-19 cases since mid-May. Following this, the said park opened to public in June end to 50 per cent of its capacity. To encourage visitors, it even offers entry to females at discounted rates. Some think this is a sign that the city is springing back, while others think this will only add to the already deteriorating pandemic.

India’s Death Toll Crosses 51,000

So far, Hubei province, of which Wuhan is the capital, has recorded 4,512 out of a total of 4,634 deaths in China. The country has successfully controlled coronavirus through aggressive measures. Meanwhile, India’s death toll stands at 51,797 as of today, despite a lockdown in place for months. We advise people to stay indoors as much as possible, and follow all public health norms.
