8. Shiv Mandir 
On the Mumbai Pune railway line, this one of a kind temple falls between Ulhasnagar and Ambernath and is every bit worth the trip. Built back in 1060 AD, the massive architecture, age-old history, intricate carvings and the beautiful steps that lead you to the Shivling are some of the things that make it the most famous place in town.

Every year during Mahashivratri there is a grand fair which is called ‘The Shiv Mandir Jatra’. It is not your regular fair, around the time of Shivratri the streets are blocked, the local transport is shut. All this is because a huge number of people from the farthest corners of Mumbai and outside come down to get blessings from Lord Shiva.
