Good News! Indore in Madhya Pradesh is now home to India’s first virtual zoo, where visitors can experience a realistic wild jungle without even leaving their seats. The theatre with a 14D screen will make you feel as if you are actually inside the forest with the animals. Curious to know more about this? Read on!

Indore Gets India’s First Virtual Zoo 

Travellers, you now have another reason to visit Indore in Madhya Pradesh. The city now has the country’s first 14D Virtual Zoo along with a Digital Jungle Safari at Kamala Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya. According to The Times of India, this zoo and safari were inaugurated by MP’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. It was constructed at a cost of ₹4.6 crore under a PPP model.

The 8,000-square-foot facility is now open to the public. It features a 14D cinema theatre with a waterproof screen imported from South Korea, a digital jungle safari and a 3D dome theatre. Visitors will get to experience 14 real-life effects like water sprays, wind blasts, fog, bubbles, smells and moving seats to match the action on the screen. These sensory experiences will make you feel as if you are actually inside a jungle instead of in a theatre.

This Virtual Zoo Has A Gorilla-Shaped Door!

Here comes the best part. The theatre has a giant door shaped like a gorilla’s mouth! It is so cool, right? Not just that, the facility also has neon-lit 3D jungle pathways. According to The Times of India, the theatre will run from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm. It will host 16 shows daily, with each show lasting 20 minutes.

To get this jungle experience at Indore Zoo, visitors will have to pay ₹70 to access all three attractions. The virtual zoo initiative, executed by Indore Municipal Corporation, has many advantages. It will help provide accessible wildlife learning through digital technology, advance environmental conservation education and also boost footfall at the zoo!
