Kartik Aaryan: Moving To Mumbai For Engineering Was An Excuse To Become An Actor

Bollywood is not only about Glitz and Glam, much more than that to the story. The successful actors who are today are the heartthrob of the nation did not just wake up one day and stood where they are, it took endless hard work, dedication and passion. In the recent interview of Sunday brunch with Curly tales, Kartik Aryan shared how he came to Mumbai with a wish to become an actor. 

I Had No Other Option But To Give Engineering As An Excuse And Go To Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan

Kartik revealed to Curly tales that Ever since 9th standard he had dreamt of becoming an actor. But he belonged to a family of doctors and his parents always wanted him to pursue engineering or be a doctor. So disclosing to his family his dream of being an actor was very difficult. Also, the fact that he knew no one in the industry or had any connections, the transition from Gwalior to Mumbai was difficult. Hence he was left with no option but to lie to his parents about wanting to pursue engineering in Mumbai. He cleared his entrance exams and got admission to Navi Mumbai’s D.Y Patil College of Engineering.

Struggling Days In Mumbai

He studied and gave exams so that he could come to Mumbai and try his luck at acting. Kartik also shared that the transition was not at all easy and he had to share his room with 12 other flatmates in Mumbai. He would go for auditions while also attending college. Just like many other stars in Bollywood Kartik also faced and fared his share of struggles before making it big in the industry.
