Mumbai International Airport Recorded Significant Growth In November
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai reported impressive numbers in the last month. In November 2024, the airport witnessed an overall 4.77 million passenger traffic, including 3.40 million domestic and 1.37 million international travellers. Just like in previous months, it was successful in continuing its momentum and reporting exceptional growth in several aspects.
According to a recently released press release, the Mumbai airport oversaw 27,200 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs). Among these, 19,696 domestic ATMs consisted of freighters and 7,504 international ATMs comprised of cargo freighters. Noticeable performances like these showcase how the airport is driving strong growth and also cementing its position as one of the leading airports.
Connecting to different regions nationwide and worldwide, these locations emerged as the most frequented routes last month.

November 27 was the busiest day last month reporting 941 flight operations in Mumbai. The festive season contributed immensely to boosting the performance for both domestic and international journeys.

About Past Month’s Cargo Operations
In November 2024, the Mumbai International Airport managed to operate 71,046 MT of cargo. It included 18,653 MT of domestic shipments and 52,393 MT of international consignments. Consolidated cargo, engineering goods, and postal mail were part of necessary domestic products. On the other hand, most products in international shipments consisted of automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.

In comparison to November 2023, the last month reported an 11 per cent surge in cargo operations with a record of 63,924 MT at Mumbai International Airport. These operations also saw 699 ATMs, including 349 Domestic ATMs and 350 International ATMs.
