Dubai: 3 Air-To-Water Dispensers To Be Installed For Delivery Riders In Rest Areas; Will Generate 100 L Of Water

Delivery riders are always out and about ensuring orders arrive on time no matter what the weather. Whether it’s winter or summer, they are always on the roll. In fact, it becomes particularly difficult for them to travel on the road as the summer heat can be quite harsh. And to ensure that the soaring temperatures don’t take a toll on them, air-to-water dispensers at some delivery rider’s rest areas are going to be installed soon. Here is all about it.

Dubai RTA To Install Air-To-Water Dispensers

Dubai RTA has signed a partnership agreement with Majid Al Futtaim. Together, they will soon be installing three air-to-water dispensers at the delivery rider’s rest areas. While this is going to be done under Phase 1 of this project, soon it will be extended to other locations as well. In case you’re wondering, the air-to-water dispensers use innovative technology. Yes, they harness the atmospheric humidity to produce potable water. At a temperature of 30°C and with 65% humidity, these dispensers can generate as much as 100 litres of drinking water every day.

In fact, the partnership is a testament to Dubai RTA’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector for the safety of delivery bike riders. Not to mention, this sustainable solution provides safe drinking water to delivery bike riders. Of course, they also help reduce the environmental footprint, as revealed by Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, the CEO of the Licensing Agency.

As it happens, the Dubai RTA is planning to construct 40 air-conditioner rest areas for delivery riders. Yes, they aim to regulate and enhance the safety of the rapidly growing delivery sector, thereby also improving the well-being of these drivers.

At this point, several rest areas have already been completed and others are already scheduled for construction in three phases.
