Pani Puri Seller Earns A Profit Of ₹75,000 A Month; Netizens Praise Street Vendor’s Hard Work

People who sell street food such as pani puri sellers or run very small businesses without any proper branding or a well-lit shop are not usually considered to be proper businessmen by many. Many of us have some stereotypical preconceived notions about such businesses. One of these many such beliefs is that they do not earn a lot or make a good margin of profit. Well, a viral video of a pani puri seller talking about his profits is blowing our minds and showing us a glimpse of the profitable businesses that most of us are unaware of.

This Pani Puri Seller Talked About His Daily Profit

Taking to Instagram, Vijay (@vijay_vox_), shared a video of having a conversation with a local pani puri bhaiya selling the beloved street food beside a street. The digital creator asked the seller about his profits and his answer was quite surprising.

The video begins with the cameraman asking the pani puro seller about his daily profit. “What’s your daily profit”, asked the guy. To this question, the street vendor responded that he usually makes a profit of ₹2,500 every day. Considering ₹2,500 to be his daily profit, the pani puri seller makes about ₹75,000 every month on average if he does not take a single day off from working on his business.

Earning this hefty amount from selling pani puri on the streets is surely not something that many people would believe. Even many employees with experience of a few years working in different companies in various sectors do not earn around ₹75,000 every month. His comment about his earnings, here his daily profit, has sparked a conversation among many Netizens in the comment section.

Making about ₹75,000 a month is actually great and it becomes a huge deal especially when we see people earning such amounts not with “conventional” or “desirable” jobs or businesses according to society. Similarly, the pani puri seller’s daily profit has raised many questions among Instagrammers and not everyone is believing in the information shared in this video.

Some Internet users are currently busy calculating the vendor’s monthly profit and income. On the other hand, some are praising the pani puri vendor for his hard work and earning well. It is indeed difficult to work outdoors, especially during unpleasant weather conditions with no proper setup.

A Netizen commented, “They work very hard too. They need to prepare everything from scratch n serve it all day standing. It makes sense”. Another comment read, “For their hard work they deserve that bro”. Someone commented, “It’s hard to work like that. Sometimes it is hot, cold, windy, or rainy. Sometimes thieves take their money. Working indoors is easier.”

In fact, there are many Netizens who think that ₹2,500 is not his daily profit but his overall earnings each day. Some comments under the video are about how the seller might have confused between revenue and profit
