Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in India a few days back to attend the G20 Summit. Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre in New Delhi was the venue of the momentous global meeting. Justin Trudeau’s plans to return to Canada were delayed due to some difficulties faced by his plane. After a long waiting time, he finally left for his home.

According to the previously scheduled plans, the Canadian Prime Minister was supposed to board his aircraft on Sunday to return to Canada. However, some issues led to lengthening his duration of stay in India. He had to extend his G20 Summit trip as his plane faced some technical issues, according to a report by BBC. The technical snag prolonged the Canadian PM and his delegates’ stay by around 36 hours in the G20 Summit host country.

Another aircraft also arrived in India from Canada for the guests but unfortunately, that was diverted, according to a report by Times Now News. The plane was diverted through London, according to a report by CBC News. They have not specified any reason for the unscheduled route diversion of the second plane. Mohammad Hussain, the press secretary of the Canadian PM’s Office, stated that the technical snag of the plane has been taken care of. The issues were resolved and the aircraft got ready to take off with Justin Trudeau and his delegation to reach home on September 12, 2023.

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar shared a picture of seeing Justin Trudeau off at the airport.

After the long delay and an extended trip to India, Justin Trudeau and his delegation finally boarded the flight on Tuesday afternoon. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar visited the airport to thank the Canadian PM for visiting India and attending the G20 Summit. He was there to see them off and wished them a safe trip back to Canada.
