Kolkata’s Evening Sky Was Lit With Mysterious Light, Netizens Don Sherlock Hats And Try & Figure Out What It Is!

Every time people see a mysterious light in the sky, the first thought that comes to their mind is “UFO.” Isn’t that true? A mysterious light was seen in the sky on Thursday evening in Kolkata. All the sky-gazers clicked pictures of the same and posted them on their social media sites, mostly on Twitter. Netizens immediately donned their Sherlock Holmes hats and began investigating the appearance of this light.

A Mysterious Light Lit Kolkata Sky

All the sky-gazers and enthusiasts were thrilled to spot a mysterious light in the sky in the evening in Kolkata. The light lasted for about 5 minutes only, but it made people think about it for hours. According to the posts on social media, this light was visible in Kolkata’s sky from 5:50 pm to 5:55 pm

 The torch-like light also reminded people of the spotlight. People took pictures of this mysterious light and posted them on various social media platforms. People engaged in conversations on Twitter about whether it was a man-made light, a divine intrusion, or had some science behind it.

India’s Nuclear-Capable Agni-5’s Launch Angle

As people were trying to find out what gave rise to this illuminating light in the sky, some people connected it to the launch of India’s nuclear-capable missile Agni-5. The launch of this missile was carried out from APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha at 5:30 pm.

The conversation on Twitter also revealed that the light was not only seen in Kolkata. Murshidabad, North and South 24 Parganas, Bankura, Howrah, East and West Midnapore, Hooghly, and some other districts of Odisha too witnessed this mysterious happening in the sky.

 It was later found out that the mysterious light was actually a result of the night trials of the Agni-5 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at the Bay of Bengal.
