Parents often have a hard time taking their infants along to watch a movie in a theatre. The infants may end up crying and parents, unfortunately, end up missing out on the movie. But things will change as a theatre in Kerala opened a soundproof room for parents with crying kids. This way, they can tend to their kids’ needs and also not miss out on the viewing experience. Here’s all about it.

Kerala Theatre Opens Crying Room For Parents With Kids

A Kerala-government-run theatre opened a ‘Crying room’ for parents with infants. In case infants cry while watching the movie, parents can take their kids to this soundproof room — equipped with a crib and even diaper-changing facilities parents can watch the movie inside the soundproof room through a glass window. This way, they can soothe their children and also not miss out on the entertainment. Isn’t this amazing? Moreover, other cinemagoers won’t be disturbed as well.

Parents Don’t Need To Leave Theatre If Their Kids Cry

Kerala’s Cultural Affairs Minister, VN Vasava, took to Facebook to share pictures of the crying room. You can come across this innovative problem-solving concept at the Kairali-Sree-Nila theatre complex in Thiruvananthapuram. His post written in Malayalam reads that if a child cries, parents don’t need to leave the theatre. Rather, they can just head to the cry room. Vasava further added that the Kairali-Sree-Nila theatre complex will make government-run theatres in Kerala, women and children-friendly.
