As India celebrated its 74th Republic Day, every Indian in some way or another paid tribute to their motherland, India. Gaurav Taneja, a vlogger, and his wife set out to pay tribute to the country in their own unique way, and they made everyone proud. Pilot, YouTuber, and fitness enthusiast Gaurav Taneja and his wife Ritu Rathee Taneja created history by drawing India’s largest map in the air.
India’s Largest Map Size In The Air
Gaurav and Ritu named the initiative as ‘Aasmaan Mein Bharat’ and flew for about three hours to create India’s largest map in the air over US skies. The duo completed the mission by flying around 200 nautical miles and covering a distance of 350 kilometres. Using the flight-tracking device, many netizens tracked their journey live as the duo created history in the sky. Gaurav has 12 years and 6,000 hours of flying experience and announced this mission on social media on January 23.
Taneja, a former IIT student, airline pilot, law student, and national-level bodybuilder, founded the project with the intention of inspiring people to feel a sense of patriotism. It also serves as a way for him to express his journey as a pilot and his passion for flying.

Many Celebrities And Politicians Congratulated The Duo
Taneja and his wife can be seen piloting a small plane in a video that was shared on Twitter, following the path so that an outline of India’s map appears in the sky. Netizens all over India were filled with patriotic fervour after seeing the visuals of India’s largest map being created. Celebrities from the Bollywood industry and well-known national political figures celebrated the duo’s mission and congratulated them.
Gaurav, who is popularly known as ‘The Flying Beast’ on YouTube, was overjoyed and filled with unbridled pride. He expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to carry out his ideal endeavour. His wife, Ritu Rathee Taneja, is an Indian pilot and social media content creator.
