Vir Das recently won an Emmy for Best International Comedy for his standup special on Netflix ‘Vir Das: Landing.’ While the talented actor and comedian was busy basking in the glory of this accomplishment, he got a gentle and tender reminder of a more humble time in his life. Vir Das Recalls A Humble Moment From His Past

Vir Das is arguably at the peak of his career right now after winning the prestigious Emmy award. After winning, he shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) where he revealed shared his favourite moment from that night. Any guesses? You might think that it might be the moment his name was announced as the winner or the moment his fingers touched the awards for the first time.

But no, those moments are it. In the post, he said that while he was walking to the press room through a kitchen, his manager saw the sink. He reminded Vir Das asking him “You remember you were once a dishwasher right?” The manager reminded Vir Das of his humble beginnings. It really puts into perspective how hardworking Vir Das is and what a long journey he has travelled.

This, said Vir Das, was the favourite moment of his night. And honestly, we completely get it. As the wide people always say, no matter where you are in life, you should always remember where you came from. It keeps you grounded and helps you get perspective when you feel lost. It is commendable that even after reaching such heights of success, Vir Das remembers his humble beginnings.
